Policies
Below is an incomplete list of Kneading Wellness' policies & general guidelines. We ask that all of our clients review the below information.
Kneading Wellness is a Family Friendly Business
Our massage business is family friendly. Sexual advances will not be tolerated and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Please respect the institution of massage and your massage therapist by refraining form any illicit remarks, comments, or advances.
Cancellation & No Show Policy
Please give 24 hour notice if you must cancel your appointment. If you do not give 24 hours notice, you may be charged a late cancellation fee of $45. If you do not show and do not call, you will be charged a $45 no show fee. If any of these instances occur more than once, you may be asked to schedule your appointments for a different time, or you may not be rescheduled at all.
There are several reasons for this policy. To begin, it is common courtesy to keep track of your previously arranged appointments and be on site on time. If you end up missing your appointment and we do not have time to schedule another individual into that specific time slot, you will have caused us to lose money. If either of these actions, or any combination of them, occur more than once, we are put into a tough position as a business. Out of respect for our other clients, you may not be rescheduled.
Please remember, our massage therapist's time is just as important as your time.
Insurance and Referrals
All clients are required to fill out a health history form prior to services being rendered. The health history form is necessary for the massage therapist to understand what issues he or she may encounter during your massage and will allow them to better tailor the massage the client’s specific needs. Please be complete and specific when filling out your health history form. Kneading Wellness will not be held liable for any issues arising as a result of health information that is not provided, intentionally or unintentionally, on the health history form.
If the client’s insurance policy requires a doctor or specialist’s approval, it is required that the client bring the referral to their first appointment. Kneading Wellness must have record on hand before services will be rendered. Most insurances and all personal injury protection (PIP) and labor and industries (L&I) claims require a doctor or specialist’s referral. In the instance that a doctor or specialist’s referral is not presented for any reason, and services are not rendered, the client may be liable for the late cancellation as per Kneading Wellness’ Cancellation & No Show Policy. If the client does not present a doctor or specialist’s referral and it is determined, at any time, to be a requirement of the client’s insurance policy, and services are rendered, said services will be billed to the client.
In most cases, Kneading Wellness will attempt to verify our client’s insurance coverage for the purpose of massage as performed by a massage therapist and report our findings to the client. In addition, Kneading Wellness will bill our client’s insurance provider on their behalf whenever necessary. It is important to note that any services not covered or paid by a client’s insurance provider, wholly or partially, known or unknown, will be billed to the client. We recommend that all of our clients confirm their insurance coverage personally to avoid any issues.
Courtesy for your Massage Therapist and your fellow Clients
If you smoke, wear or use perfume or cologne, or anything else that has a strong scent, please refrain from using before your appointment out of courtesy for other clients and your massage therapist. Many individuals and clients are sensitive to synthetic fragrances.
